The Fertile Ground Foundation is very excited to welcome Dr. Matrika Johnson, M.D. to the "Queen's Charity Lunch" as our Keynote Speaker! Dr. Johnson is the founding physician and Director of Reproductive Specialists of the Carolina's.
Dr. Matrika D. Johnson, M.D., completed her undergraduate training at Davidson College, where she was a Davidson scholar. She later earned her medical degree from Wright State University where she received the Janet C. Thompson Memorial Scholarship Award for her academic achievements.
Dr. Johnson completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Washington University in St. Louis, where she served as a board member for the Residents & Fellows Diversity Initiative. After residency, Dr. Johnson completed a research fellowship at Case Western Reserve University, followed by a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Magee Women’s Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Johnson is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Since 2020, Dr. Johnson has appeared in Charlotte magazine’s list of the Top Doctors in Charlotte for the specialty of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. Johnson is the founding physician of Reproductive Specialists of the Carolinas.
When Dr. Johnson isn’t helping patients, you can find her running in the beautiful city of Charlotte. Dr. Johnson also enjoys the musical arts, international travel, and the great outdoors. She is happily married and loves spending quality time with her husband, stepson and dog, Apollo.
Dr. Johnson was also just recently named by Queen City Metro to be one of the "Great 28" Most Influential Citizens in Charlotte. Through her practice she has helped hundreds of women battle infertility!
